Onsite EHS Professionals

Environmental and Safety Compliance. On Autopilot.

EHS professionals are not interchangeable. Each brings areas of strength, and each can have experience and knowledge gaps they might be incentivized to mask as they rely on OJT. If they work independently “in a bubble,” things can get missed. Meanwhile, your compliance is at stake and the risks are high.

Aarcher Talent is meeting this challenge by providing clients with:

  • An Aarcher Talent EHS Manager assigned full-time to your facility
  • A senior EHS compliance expert who is familiar with your facility and assigned to guide and collaborate with the on-site professional
  • Ongoing training for the on-site professional to ensure they remain current on changing requirements
  • EHS colleagues to contact when the going gets complicated

All for a flat monthly fee that includes all recruiting, training, and technical oversight for your EHS manager – and does not add to payroll headcount.

Which facilities are candidates?

Not all organizations are right for this program. We have found that this approach is best for organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • Sufficient environmental and/or safety issues to warrant a full-time dedicated person
  • Senior staff not in a position to provide ongoing technical or regulatory direction to an EHS Manager

How is Aarcher Talent able to offer this?

Well, it took 30 years, a surge in environmental enforcement, and one pandemic to create the tools make this approach practical.

At the all-time peak of EPA enforcement levels in the late 1990s, a group of experienced environmental professionals formed Aarcher Consulting to help organizations implement compliance programs and manage risk by conducting compliance evaluations, preparing contingency plans, and developing operating procedures. Methods and tools to address the full range of environmental compliance challenges have been refined while working with more than 450 organizations in every state.

It became clear that the root cause of many compliance issues stems from knowledge gaps among EHS managers, who often work independently, relying only on whatever experience they brought to their position and what they can learn through experience and self-study. Aarcher Institute was launched in 2005 in response to requests for regulatory training for EHS professionals. Over the past 20 years, Aarcher Institute has presented more than 250 environmental compliance training programs to more than 8,000 environmental professionals.

Matching EHS managers’ experience and capabilities to the unique needs of a specific organization can be difficult. As the global Covid pandemic subsided and employers struggled to hire qualified EHS professionals, we responded by accessing our vast network and enlisting a senior recruiting expert to lead the formation of Aarcher Talent, a staffing and recruiting firm specializing in EHS positions. Over time, our recruiting team developed a deep understanding of the responsibilities, skills, qualifications, career tracks, and compensation strategies unique to environmental and safety positions.

These three business lines have uniquely positioned us to offer a different approach to environmental compliance management. Aarcher Talent carefully recruits an EHS professional suited for the challenges of the facility and assigns them to the facility, Aarcher Institute delivers the continual training necessary to enhance their expertise and keep them current, and Aarcher Consulting assigns a senior compliance consultant to provide guidance, oversight, and periodic facility inspections to ensure programs are in place and effective.
