AARCHER is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Environmental Protection Specialist in its offices in the historic district of Annapolis, MD, to serve as Project Manager/Senior Environmental Protection Specialist. The successful candidate will initially report directly to the company president and will have the opportunity to lead projects and continue building work with existing and new clients. This is primarily a position focused on technical/regulatory services directly for clients, but also includes some business development responsibilities.
We are an environmental services firm established in 1997 to provide consulting, training, and staffing services to the regulated community, including government clients and organizations in transportation, food processing, mining, communications, upstream oil, commercial real estate, and many others. The firm is headquartered in Annapolis, MD, with a staffed office in Denver and personnel in cities. Consulting services include environmental compliance and management support such as facility compliance audits, environmental management system development, contingency planning, permitting assistance, and more. Our team members work closely together to meet client needs, as we pursue new professional experiences and lifelong learning. Travel to client locations throughout the United States is typically required as a portion of our project assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work daily in the Annapolis, MD offices.
- Travel for up to 1 to 6 days at a time
- Travel up to 45% of time over the course of a year, fluctuating with client and project needs
- Full-time experience with an environmental consulting firm of 5 years or more
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensing or certification as either Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Ability to obtain either CHMM or Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) upon hire
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Salary is commensurate with relevancy of experience to AARCHER service areas, years experience, degree of experience with AARCHER client industries or agencies, and professional associations. Range is anticipated to be between $75k and $120k.
