Aarcher is seeking an experienced Industrial Health and Safety Program Manager to lead industrial hygiene and exposure control programs in a beryllium manufacturing environment. This is a mission-critical role focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding employee health, and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
We’re looking for a strategic leader with deep technical expertise and strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership capabilities—someone who can guide both high-level initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the long-term vision for industrial hygiene and exposure control.
- Align program strategy with corporate EHS goals, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends.
Program Development & Ownership
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of industrial hygiene programs.
- Oversee advanced exposure monitoring, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies for beryllium and other hazards.
Executive Advisory
- Act as principal advisor on industrial hygiene for site and corporate leadership.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance for business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Corporate EHS, Product Stewardship, Engineering, and Operations.
- Integrate exposure control strategies into product lifecycle management, process design, and capital planning.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA’s Beryllium Standard, and all relevant federal, state, and corporate regulations.
- Lead site readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
Technical Authority
- Serve as SME in areas such as:
- Ventilation and air quality engineering
- Noise control
- Ergonomics
- Toxicological risk assessment
- Oversee development of engineering and administrative controls.

Required Qualifications
- Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development.
- Utilize advanced analytics to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Identify trends, prepare dashboards, and present executive-level reports.
- Stay current with evolving technologies in industrial hygiene.
- Champion adoption of cutting-edge tools and best practices.
- Design and deliver training initiatives.
- Promote a proactive safety culture using Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or strategic role within a manufacturing or high-hazard environment
- Proven experience in exposure assessments, ventilation system design, toxicology, and compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to convey complex technical information in clear, actionable terms.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Export Compliance: Must meet eligibility requirements under ITAR and EAR regulations for access to controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
