Aarcher is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage EHS programs across all manufacturing and logistics operations in the Pan American region. This strategic and field-engaged leadership role partners closely with plant managers, HR, and operations teams to drive a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and achieve continuous improvement in environmental and safety performance.

The ideal candidate brings multi-site EHS management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment and excels at both high-level strategy and hands-on field engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures across all Pan American facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, local/national laws).

  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses; develop mitigation strategies.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

  • Manage environmental compliance related to air and water emissions, hazardous waste, chemical storage, and emergency spill response.

  • Oversee and/or conduct EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Perform audits and inspections across all sites; document and drive compliance improvements.

  • Track and report key EHS performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership.

  • Collaborate with HR on wellness, ergonomics, and injury prevention programs.

  • Lead emergency response planning, crisis management, and routine safety drills.

  • Embed EHS considerations into project design, operational planning, and new facility launches.

  • Maintain all required permits and ensure timely regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a regional or multi-site role.

  • Strong working knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations in Pan American countries, particularly the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.

  • Proven experience managing regulatory compliance and implementing successful EHS programs.

  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training facilitation skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across the Pan American region.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese highly preferred (English required).
