Aarcher Talent is seeking an EHS Manager located in Ayer, MA.  Ideal candidate will have experience managing and developing environmental, health, and safety programs in the manufacturing industry, preferably food manufacturing. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage environmental, health, and safety programs and policies that ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential risks and hazards, and work with department managers to implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain all required environmental permits and reporting, including air and water quality monitoring and reporting.  Ensure the company remains in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Develop and implement training programs for employees on environmental, health, and safety topics, including emergency response procedures, hazardous materials handling, and accident prevention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve environmental, health, and safety performance.
  • Ensure all incidents are investigated, documented, and reported in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.  Support to managers and employees in identifying and mitigating risks in their respective areas.
  • Develops sustainability strategies and initiatives to minimize the company’s environmental impact and improve its social and economic performance.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and hazards and develop effective solutions.

Preferred:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
